Contract Manufacture

BBI is a rare breed of OEM that is able to offer a fully flexible solution to customers, from small batch sizes of 10,000 units through to automated runs of over 100,000. This enables us to support some customers’ feasibility work during the early stages of development, while satisfying those who already have an established market leading product range.

Our tests are used in a variety of field settings including military, laboratory and research institutes, hospitals, physician’s office and at home. Our broad knowledge base includes biochemistry, parasitological, microbiology, chemistry, and biotechnology. We have 60 assays in routine manufacture across our facilities located in the UK and USA. All sites are ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 accredited, and our Dundee facility is FDA registered.

All of our assays are manufactured to GMP standards. Several of these assays have been submitted and attained FDA 510(k) clearance.

State of the art Manufacturing Facilities

BBI is now able to offer over 30,000 sq foot of contract manufacturing space with validated technologically advanced equipment, and summer 2010 will see the opening of our new 10,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Dundee, UK. The new site is the result of a significant investment to our already established FDA registered site and features state of the art manufacturing machinery offering the very best in dispensing technology and outputting thousands of meters of reels per day.
